Entry dates: January 1st 2014 – March 31st 2014

It’s time to write and illustrate a story!

We invite students in kindergarten through third grade to write and illustrate a story, and submit it to KBTC in our local contest. Winners from each grade level will then move to the national contest! Take a look at the Writers Contest Rules to see the word count and other important information for each grade, and check out the Materials for Teachers below for great resources and worksheets to get started.

To get ideas for your story, check out the 2013 Writers Contest winners from KBTC; you can watch them read their stories! Or visit PBS KIDS to see the national winners.
