KBTC Public Television is your go-to resource for enhancing your teaching skills and providing your students with an exceptional learning experience. We offer a variety of Professional Development opportunities to help you achieve your goals, including:
 

  • Virtual Professional Development: Join KBTC's customized virtual sessions and learn how to use PBS resources within your classroom, extracurricular programs, and even at home. With our interactive and engaging sessions, you'll have the tools you need to create a dynamic and effective learning environment.

  • In-Person Professional Development: For those who prefer to learn in a classroom setting, KBTC also offers in-person sessions led by experienced educators and subject matter experts. You'll have the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities and collaborate with other educators to enhance your teaching skills.

SUMMER BLAST 2024
How To Plan High-Quality Programs with PBS

Join us for Summer Blast, an exciting event where KBTC will be proudly presenting our educational resources and engaging activities. Summer Blast has been a partnership between School’s Out Washington (SOWA) and The Foundation for Tacoma Students for several years. In recent years, the focus has been on grounding the work in the “why” and “getting back to the basics. KBTC is dedicated to creating meaningful and enriching experiences for our community. Come and be part of the excitement and learn more about what KBTC has to offer!

Learning Goal: By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to design and implement inclusive summer programs using PBS KIDS' curriculum, establish effective group norms, and engage children with fun hands-on activities.
